A Santa Cruz County judge has ruled against Greenway’s “Petition For A Writ Of Mandate”. That means that the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission can move forward on making some repairs to the rail line as it runs through the Harkins Slough area. At issue was whether further Environmental Impact Reports needed to be done prior to the repair work. The S-C-C-R-T-C will still need to get the necessary permits from the California Department Of Fish And Wildlife, the U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers, and the California Regional Water Quality Control Board.
