A murder victim in Nevada has been identified as 71 year old Dr. Thomas Burchard of Salinas. Burchard was found dead of blunt force trauma to the head at Lake Mead National Recreation Area near Los Vegas on March 7th. Dr. Burchard was a psychiatrist at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula specializing in child psychiatry. At this time the motive is unknown.
