Big Rig in Tuesday Accident Failed Inspection 11-14-18 15:09 DC

We now know more about the big rig involved in the accident that closed Highway 1 for several hours yesterday (Tuesday).

The truck belonged to a San Jose company called Jvilla.

KION Television reports that, according to the CHP, the big rig involved in the accident was not registered and had failed inspection 65 percent of the time.

CHP said they inspected 27 of the owner’s vehicles and of those inspections, 76 percent qualified to be out of service.

The possibility exists for civil and criminal charges against the truck’s owners.
