A 28-year-old man is being held on kidnapping, attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after a violent attack on an ex-girlfriend Monday morning in Salinas.
According to Salinas Police, Donovan Johnson, forced his way into the victim’s home and took her against her will after punching her and slashing her with a knife.
Johnson was taking the victim to Natividad Medical Center when he was arrested and then transported to the Monterey County Jail.
