Monarch season at Santa Cruz’s Natural Bridges State Park has officially arrived. And the best way to see the threatened butterflies is during a free interpretative tour, although visitors can see the butterflies anytime the park is open.
The monarch tours will be held weekends through Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. starting at the Natural Bridges State Beach visitors center. Parking for the free tour costs 10. Search for the website or contact the park to find out the current monarch population.
