Soquel Water Restrictions Still In Place 11-08-18 15:41 DC

The Soquel Creek Water District has issued a reminder that Stage 3 water use restrictions remain in place. The ongoing water shortage results from historical over-pumping plus the threat of seawater contamination of drinking water wells.

The district is asking customers to wash cars with recycled water, wash exterior structures only fas necessary for or sanitation and health purposes and businesses must use signs to encourage conserving water. Information about these rules can be found at soquelcreekwater.org/stage3-residential.

To improve water availability, the District has launched a surface water transfer pilot project and constructed a seawater intrusion prevention and recharge well. Information on the pilot projects: soquelcreekwaterdistrict.org.
