Local Election Results 11-07-18 06:00 DC

The affordable housing bond, Measure H, also failed on Tuesday.

It seems likely there will be three new faces on the Santa Cruz City Council, but who will be the top three among the ten candidates has yet to be decided. The leaders late last night were Donna Meyers, Justin Cummings, and Greg Larson. That could change, however, so it may be days before the winners are clear.

In Capitola, these same early results found Yvette Brooks, former council member Sam Storey, and incumbent Jacques Bertrand in the lead for the three available seats on that city’s council.

Scotts Valley had two seats up for the election. Leaders are newcomer Derek Timm and incumbent Jim Reed.

In Watsonville, four council seats are open. Incumbent Lowell Hurst was uncontested.  Leaders for the three remaining seats are Francisco Estrada, Rebecca Garcia, and Ari Parker.
