Flood Preparedness Week 10-22-18 11:55 DC

This is California Flood Preparedness Week and local officials are asking residents to think about their flood risk and how to reduce it before fall and winter rains begin.

Mark Strudley of the Santa Cruz County Department of Public Works says the first step is to learn out what risks you are facing.

Strudley recommends a website created by the California State Office of Emergency where residents can enter their addresses and lean the risks associated with their locations.

That website is myhazards.caloes-ca.gov or Google “my hazards” to find the link.
