PG&E Seeks Rate Increase 10-22-18 05:23 DC

PG&E customers would see higher monthly bills if federal regulators approve the company’s request to raise rates its rates. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission was asked last week to raise the average residential customer’s bill $1.50 a month.

The state has already passed law some complain is a bailout for the utility, which raised the possibility of bankruptcy unless it was granted relief from financial exposure related to wildland fires blamed on the company’s transmission lines.
