A 52-year-old Boulder Creek woman died after she drove a 2006 Ford Freestyle south on Highway 9 and veered into a utility pole about 9:30 this morning north of Highlands County Park.
The cause of the accident has not been determined, CHP officer Sam Courtney said. The Ford crossed into the northbound lane before striking the pole. The wreck sheared the pole, which fell onto the car.
