The value of crops grown in Santa Cruz County fell in 2017, compared to the year before. Berries make up almost two-thirds of the crop, valued at $581.2-million-dollars, a nine percent decline from 2016.
Strawberries remain the top crop in Santa Cruz County, but revenue declined along with a drop in the number of acres in production.
