Council Considers Zoning Case 09-25-18 14:30 DC

The Santa Cruz City Council tonight will consider a controversial zoning case that would place 40 apartments on a 2.4-acre parcel where zoning only allows for 9 single-family dwellings. Neighborhood association member Ellen Aldridge says the development, at Ocean Street Extension and Graham Hill Road, places too many residents in too little space.

If the council approves the zoning, neighborhood residents say too much traffic will be added to the area and a court battle is possible. The council meets to consider the issue tonight at 7-PM at Santa Cruz City Hall.
