The Senior Outreach program of the Central Coast Family Service Agency will soon offer its annual volunteer training for those who would like to become a senior outreach peer counselor to homebound elders. The nonprofit offers a 40-hour training course in active listening skills during eight five-hour training sessions.
If you are 55, or older, a caring, non-judgmental individual and willing to attend a 40-hour training and bi-monthly meetings, the Family Service Agency says this might be an opportunity for you.
