A Monterey museum dedicated to artist Salvador Dalí is facing a lawsuit from a foundation that claims the museum misappropriated the artist’s name and likeness. The lawsuit claims the museum reproduced and displayed copyrighted art without permission from the foundation in Spain, named Dalí Foundation of Figueres. The foundation, which was founded by the artist, wants the museum to turn over all its Dalí merchandise for destruction.
