More than a year after Monterey Peninsula College was put on probation by an accreditation commission; the college announced the probation would be lifted. The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges put the college on probation in 2017 after it found the institution out of compliance with 22 issues. The college was charged with fixing the issues by March of 2018, which it met. The commission granted accreditation to the college for 18 months and a follow-up report is set for Nov. 1.
