Hundreds rallied together in Watsonville City Plaza on Thursday to push back against the federal government separating immigrant parents from their children when trying to illegally cross the Mexican border. The Watsonville demonstration was one of at least four held on the Central Coast that day. Those demonstrations are part of a larger outcry across the nation over President Donald Trump’s order to prosecute more illegal immigrants. Migrant children separated from their parents are often put into temporary shelters.
