If all goes as expected, Highway 1 at Mud Creek is now expected to re-open by the end of July….2 months ahead of schedule. That new section of Highway 1, which will include embankments, and netting, will go across the landslide that dumped more than 6 million cubic yards of dirt and debris on the roadway, and changed the shape of the coastline. After that section of Highway 1 re-opens to the public, there may be occasional closures as the roadwork continues.
