A rally in support of a new rail line contract was held on Friday. The rally was staged on a section of rail in the Live Oak area by the Friends of the Rail and Trail, who support the possible contract with Progressive Rail. Members of The Greenway Organization were also on hand to oppose any use of the tracks for train traffic. The Regional Transportation Commission will vote on the proposed contract this Thursday.
