Multiple law enforcement agencies including Homeland Security are investigating a legally permitted marijuana farm south of Salinas. The investigation was launched after Monterey County authorities checking on the permit compliance issues discovered a shipping container occupied by ten men and women from Mongolia and Laos. Human trafficking is suspected however it is unclear at this time if the suspected victims were being held against their will.
