A Moss Landing couple received the 2018 Making a Difference National Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award from the Bureau of Land Management for their work at Fort Ord National Monument. For more than 15 years, David and Jane Styer led birding trips, took inventory of plants and developed a list of the plant species at the National Monument. The couple are among eight honorees receiving the award.
