A  CASE  ABOUT  CALIFORNIA  COASTAL  ACCESS  MAY  SOON  BE HEARD  BY  THE  NATION’S  HIGHEST  COURT.‎     AT  ISSUE  IS  THE CASE  OF  VEE-nod KOS-la….WHO  PURCHASED  COASTAL  PROPERTY  IN  CALIFORNIA,  AND  THEN  CLOSED  THE  ACCESS TO MARTIN’S  BEACH….WHICH  THE  PUBLIC  HAS  BEEN  USING  SINCE THE  1920’s.    SEVERAL  LOWER  COURTS  HAVE  RULED  THAT  KOS-la  VIOLATED  THE  CALIFORNIA  COASTAL  ACT  WHEN  HE  FAILED TO  GET  A  PERMIT  FROM  THE  CALIFORNIA  COASTAL COMMISSION  TO  CLOSE  THAT  ACCESS.     THE  SURFRIDER FOUNDATION’S  ATTORNEY,  WHO  FILED THE  ORIGINAL  SUIT, NOW  HAS  UNTIL  JUNE  13th  TO  FILE  HIS  ARGUMENTS  WITH THE U.S.  SUPREME  COURT.
