A twenty year old Gilroy man was booked into jail on a ten million dollar warrant on Tuesday, according to the Gilroy Police Department. Jay Robert Vasquez was on the lam for five months until he was located at a San Jose apartment complex on Charlotte Dr. Vasquez was identified as the man who killed 32 year old Jason Contreras of Gilroy on November 29th 2017. Vasquez was booked into Santa Clara County jail April 19th.
