A 20 year-old man, convicted of 2 counts of murder, 3 counts of torture, and 1 count of child abuse, is scheduled to be sentenced later this month. Gonzalo Curiel is slated to return to a Monterey county court room April 30th. Because Curiel was a minor when he committed the crimes, he is not eligible for the Death Penalty.
