The Ferris Wheel at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is being retired. It made its debut ride back in 1959…..and has had more than 4 million riders in the last 34 years. The seats of the Ferris Wheel have already been removed, and the rest of the ride is expected to be dismantled next week.
