Healthcare Provides Scheduled to Protest    02-19-18   T.A.

(11:00) Santa Cruz – Hundreds of healthcare workers are expected to protest tomorrow at Dominican Hospital, in Santa Cruz, over concerns that their interests of patients and the community will be ignored after the hospital’s owner – Dignity Health – merges into a 28 billion corporation.  Workers want to secure a strong contract with Dignity Health before the merger is finalized with the Catholic Health Initiatives.  The Dominican Hospital protest is one of 27 being held across California by caregivers between February 20, and March 7, at facilities owned by Dignity Health.  Santa Cruz County Healthcare providers, plan to protest tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Dominican Hospital, located at 1555 Soquel Drive.
