Veterinarians are reporting an outbreak of Canine Influenza is affecting the Central Coast. The outbreak is being caused by two different strains of the virus which are new to the area making all dogs susceptible because of the lack of exposure to the disease. At this time the virus has not crossed over to humans. Dog owners are uged to vaccinate their pets for both strains of the virus.
