Although the members of the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission have voted to enter into negotiations with a rail company for potential freight and excursion service, a contract cannot be approved until a study of county transportation corridors is complete. The rail company wants to run Freight Service to and from Watsonville, and Excursion Service between Santa Cruz and Davenport.
