(10:40) Santa Cruz – The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office reported that inmates at the Santa Cruz County Jail created barricades, after complaints that the temperatures inside their housing units were too cold. On Tuesday the inmates refused to comply with correctional staff and used mattresses as makeshift barricades and prepared tools as weapons. There have been no reports of any serious injuries of the inmates or the Sheriff’s Office staff.
