UCSC Student Scheduled to Be Sentenced 01-18-18 T.A.
(06:40) Santa Cruz - A former U-C Santa Cruz student is scheduled to be sentenced to spend 6 years in prison, after pleading no-contest to charges in connection to a deadly head on collision. Two Years ago Lynnea Hernandez was driving her friends down to Big Sur when she veered into oncoming traffic, killing one of her passengers Lillian Scott and another driver, Nikolas Malliarodakis. On Wednesday Hernandez pleaded no contest to 2 counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and 2 counts of reckless driving. Hernandez is scheduled to be sentenced on March 23rd.
