Man Arrested for Attempted Murder 12-14-17 T.A.

(08:25) Monterey - A man was arrested after allegedly shooting a U.S. Forest Service division chief in Monterey on Monday.   The shooting took place around 5:15 p.m. on Nacimiento-Furgesson Road in South Monterey County.  25 year-old Jacob Kirkendall, of Santa Cruz, was located and charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon shooting at an occupied vehicle and resisting arrest.  He was booked into Monterey County Jail.
