Workers at Watsonville Community Hospital are gathering signatures in hopes of getting a measure on the November ballot. If it qualifies, and is approved by voters, the Watsonville accountable and affordable health care initiative would prohibit W.C.H. from charging more than 15 percent more than what is considered the “reasonable cost of direct patient care”. Nearly 1800 valid signatures need to be collected for the measure to qualify for the ballot.
