A Santa Cruz man has been awarded the British Government’s prestigious Marshall Scholarship. That means that 25 year-old Nathaniel Dolton-Thornton gets a full-ride course of graduate study at Cambridge. He plans to earn a masters degree in geographical research, specializing biodiversity offsets. Although he’ll do his schooling in England, he wants to come back and work on a biodiversity offset program in the central valley….which is run by the Environmental Defense Fund.
