A public meeting is being held right now held in Davenport. That’s when potential uses for the site of the old Cemex Cement Plant, will be discussed. The 103-acre site, where cement was produced for more than 100 years, has been unused since the plant was closed in 2010. Tonight’s meeting, in Pacific Elementary School, is slated to run from 6-8 p.m.
