A meeting was held last night to teach area residents how best to protect themselves (and their families) from catastrophic fires, such as those that recently occurred in the Santa Rosa area. The Delaveaga Park and Prospect Heights neighborhoods of Santa Cruz are very similar to the neighborhoods in Santa Rosa that suffered the most damage.
Another important reminder given at the meeting was to sign up for reverse 911 calls to get evacuation alerts in your area.
