A Santa Cruz man pulled from the surf last Wednesday has died. At around 10 a.m. fire fighters responded to reports of a man in the water near Mitchell’s Cove off of West Cliff Drive. At the scene rescuers pulled 71 year old Randall “Randy” Henry Knox III (the 3rd). un responsive from the surf, he was transported to the hospital where he died at 5:30 p.m. Know had reportedly gone into the water after the family dog which is still missing. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Lynn Knox.
