Authorities have released the name of an alleged burglar killed in a in high speed pursuit. At about 5:30 p.m., a high speed chase ensued at the Bixby Bridge. The chase reached speeds of up to 100 miles an hour until the fleeing vehicle crashed into two vehicles at Palo Colorado Road. The driver of one of the vehicles sustained major injuries, An occupant of the fleeing vehicle, 18 year old Emel Shivers of Oakland was pronounced dead at the scene, a 19 year old and 26 year old were hospitalized and are facing multiple charges.
