Happiest Cities in the US  10-19-17  T.A.

(07:40) Santa Cruz-Watsonville and Salinas have made National Geographic’s list of “Happiest Cities in the United States.”  Coming in at number 2, the Santa Cruz-Watsonville area made the list because of its family-friendly boardwalk, beautiful beaches and the Monterey Bay.  Salinas ranked in at number 13 because it’s the hometown of Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck, who based many of his novels in Salinas.   Fans of his work can visit the Steinbeck House (his boyhood home) and the National Steinbeck Center.  To view the full list of the 25 happiest places in United States visit: nationalgeographic.com
