(08:00) Salinas – Salinas police arrested 3 men after a ShotSpotter was activated last night. The shots were detected just before 8:00 p.m. on the 900 block of Acosta Plaza. Officers attempted a traffic stop with a vehicle fleeing from the scene. The vehicle later crashed near Del Monte Avenue and Williams Road. 22 year-old Jonathan Ventura, 19 year-old Alexander Bautista and 18 year-old Jose Cerna were all booked into the Monterey County Jail. There were no reports of any injuries. The incident is being investigated as gang related.
