Santa Cruz (7:00)- The hearing of 17 year old Adrian Gonzalez has continued longer than initially expected. Gonzalez stands accused of the rape and murder of 8 year old Maddy Middleton. The hearing has been extended by defense and prosecution attorneys who describe they wish to be as through as possible in the proceedings that will decide whether to try Gonzalez as a juvenile or an adult. It was Maddy Middleton’s birthday yesterday- she would have been 11 years old.
