Water supplies in Big Basin State Park have tested at close to double the legal limit for a contaminant. The park has tested positive for TTHMs, a carcinogen, produced when chlorine interacts with decaying vegetation. The California Stae Parks department is currently working on a solution for treatment of the water supply. The department has until December to resolve the issue.
