August 18, 2017: Police Find Car on Railroad Tracks

(10:40) Santa Cruz – A man was charged for public intoxication yesterday morning in Santa Cruz.   The Santa Cruz Police Department reported that a car registered to a 27 year-old drove onto the basketball court at the end of Chestnut Street, drove through a fence, and then onto the railroad tracks.   Santa Cruz officers found a 27 year old San Jose resident as he walked down the train tracks. He was charged for public intoxication and transported to the Santa Cruz County Recovery Center. According to the car owner, he was not the driver of the car. The driver of the car fled the scene after the crash.
