(07:50) Santa Cruz County – Dignity Health Dominican Hospital announced the first phase of the $4.3 million Healing Courtyard project has been completed. Phase one includes: The Norman and Maureen Benito Courtyard, The Monterey Peninsula Foundation Rehabilitation Garden, the central surgery lounge, and a consult room. The goal is to reduce stress and promote healing for patients, their loved ones and hospital staff. Phase two is expected to begin in spring, and will include a Family and Newborn Care Courtyard and a Meditation Garden.
