The Salinas Police Department has been rejected from the school districts, after being denied to be put on local campuses. The $ 3.4 million dollar grant that is used for resource officers will expire at the end of August if officers aren’t put into place. Adele Fresé, the Salinas Police Chief, is looking to extend the deadline. Any schools interested in getting resource officers are welcome to call the city manager’s office.
