Officials hope to open the Pfeiffer Canyon Trail to the public July 1st, and the new Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge in September….but they think it’ll take at least a year to re-open Highway 1 where the Mud Creek Slide occurred. A detour via Nacimiento-Fergusson Road, provides public access between Gorda and Limekiln State Park.
