The Cemex company has been ordered to stop mining for sand in marina. The California State Lands Commission says the company, which has been operating without a State Permit or Lease, must comply with state law. A spokesperson for Cemex says officers of the company are reviewing the information from the state lands commission, but that the company has a vested right, and all required entitlements to operate, as they have been doing for 111 years.
