(08:50) Santa Cruz – A man was arrested for vehicle burglary in Santa Cruz on Sunday. The incident took place just before 2 p.m. on the 1100 block of Pacific Avenue in downtown Santa Cruz. SCPD reported that 21 year-old Cesar Chagolla broke into a car and stole the victim’s iphone. After the SCPD reviewed the surveillance video they located Chagolla near the 300 block of Soquel Avenue. Chagolla was arrested for burglary, receiving stolen property and probation violation.
SCPD Reminds the public to Never leave valuables or anything that may appear valuable to a thief in plain view inside your vehicle.
