Forty six percent of farm workers are reportedly in the United States illegally. Farmers are having a difficult time finding workers to plant and pick their crops. The farming industry uses a larger percentage of illegal labor than any other industry. The strict enforcement of immigration laws threatens to increase the cost of fruits and vegetables, and reduce farmer profits.
