A new and larger passport office is opening Monday, May 1st in Salinas. The new office that is located down the hall from where the old one was will process about one-hundred and fifty passports a day compared to forty in the old office. Waiting times are expected to be much shorter. It was common to wait for six hours for a passport in the old office.
