The “Trailblazer Award” winners who were nominated by the Santa Cruz County Women’s Commission were recognized today. The honorees are: Cynthia Mathews, Gail Michaelis-Ow, Donna Ziel, were heralded for making a difference in the lives of woman and girls. The Give and Take club of Pajaro Valley High School an organization that educates students on health issues also received the award. Jasmine Rocha, Miri Ramos, Jaime Melgoza and Martiniano Ortiz accepted the award for the organization. Coca Lazenby, Dora Lee Raras, Mariah Roberts, Tricia Potts and Andrey McDowell received honorable mention for their work in the community.
