March 17, 2017: Pizza Recall

(10:15) California – The USDA’s  Food Safety  and Inspection Service announced a recall on The “Marketside Extra Large Supreme Pizza” this week.  The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.  Consumption of food contaminated with Listeria can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions sometimes preceded by diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms. In pregnant women, the infection can cause miscarriages, stillbirths, premature delivery or life-threatening infection of the newborn.  The pizza being recalled was produced on February 23rd with the code 20547.  Consumers who have purchased this product are urged not to consume it and should either throw it away or return it.
